Daniel Radcliffe is Harry Potter for many around. He gave the “Boy Who Lived” a face and character by playing him in all 8 movies.
After many auditions in august 2000 he was choosen for the lead part of the Harry Potter series. At that moment only the first 4 books were published and it was very uncertain how his character would evolve over the years. Together with Rupert Grint and Emma Watson they were presented as the Golden Trio for the movies to come.
Daniel already acted 2 small roles in David Copperfield (1999) and The Tailor of Panama (2001). During the recording of the final Harry Potter movies he started also playing in a theater play called Equus where appeared on stage in the nude. After the last movies he played in several smaller movies like Kill Your Darlings (2013), Horns (2014) and Swiss Army Man (2016).
